In its Monday, Nov. 11, meeting, the Crosslake Community School Board approved a revision to the 2019-20 fiscal year budget.
Discussion regarding the budget arose, saying the ADM - "average daily membership," or funds received from the state based on average student attendance per day - was set at 275, but the school already has surpassed that number in the current school year. The board agreed unanimously to revise the ADM to 290.
In other action, the board:
Certified the results of the recent school board elections. Heidi O’Brien, Lance Swanson and Ronda Veit were elected to teacher positions, while Mitch Swaggert won the parent position seat.
Approved its “World’s Best Workforce” plan for the 2019-20 school year.
Approved policies regarding kindergarten admission, expense reimbursement and potential hazardous substances.
In preparation for its next meeting, the board expects to transition from retiring executive director Todd Lyscio to a newly hired director - expected to be announced this week.
Board members Lisa Steffen, Swanson and Kysa Corbett were not in attendance.
