Three area high school juniors will travel to Washington, D.C., in June with approximately 1,900 other students from around the nation after winning a Crow Wing Power contest.

Area winners are Keenan Hodge, the son of Dalen and Lori Hodge, of Baxter; Anna Streed, the daughter of Scott and Shelly Streed, of Pillager; and Stella Canales, the daughter of Stella Canales, of Backus.

Students from Morrison, Crow Wing and Cass counties entered the contest by writing a fictitious letter to any political leader focusing on a topic important to them.
