The sixth annual Lakes and Farm Harvest Dinner will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Nisswa American Legion.

The event celebrates the diversity of the region in the interest of stewardship and friendship among lake dwellers, farmers, ranchers and town folk.

A farmers market and social hour cash bar will open at5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. featuring locally produced food prepared by Chef Mike Sams, Y4 Ranch and Dan Bridge-Red, White

and Blue Catering, and salads by Prairie Bay.

Eleanor Burkett, University of Minnesota Extension, will discuss "Invasive Species, Land and Water." Meet producers Miles and Sarah Kuschel. Hans Blix and the Weapons Inspectors will provide music. There will be a silent auction with donations from area businesses, farms and ranches, and individuals.
