First-graders at Eagle View Elementary School had fun with science Friday, Sept. 15, during the school's First-grade Science Kick-off Day.
Students did activities aimed at getting them excited for science and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) projects they'll do later on throughout the school year. Activities included learning how goggles protect eyes, examining rocks with magnifying glasses, learning about magnets and thermometers, balancing scales, and looking at materials through microscopes.
