The Crow Wing County Board of Commissioners approved its third Economic Assistance Grant Relief program to distribute more than 1.2 million of state funding to help small businesses and nonprofits that have suffered financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The board made the unanimous decision at its Dec 15 meeting, one day after the Minnesota legislature passed a 217 million COVID-19 relief package.
Grants up to $10,000 will be awarded to nonprofit and small businesses to help offset business interruptions costs associated with COVID-19 from March 1, 2020 through January 12, 2021.
“Here is another chance to get some help into the hands of our residents that have been hit hardest during temporary closures and business changes,” said County Board Chair, Steve Barrows. “I strongly encourage anyone who may be eligible to apply to provide some needed relief during these stressful times.”
