Crow Wing County mattress recycling service suspended until further notice

The Crow Wing County mattress recycling program is on hold until further notice; however, mattresses may still be brought in for landfill disposal.

The company that accepts mattresses for recycling has stopped taking deliveries, meaning all mattresses need to be landfilled for the time being.

The landfill disposal fee is $28 for mattresses of all sizes. Residents may wish to hold onto their mattresses and bring them in at a later date for recycling. Another notice will be sent when the program is back up and running.

When visiting the landfill, residents must stay in their vehicles and staff will come out.

For more information, call the solid waste office at 218-824-1290.
