A fundraiser will be held from 5-7 pm Monday, Jan. 26, at Sherwood Forest in Lake Shore with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Vest Our Dogs Fund.
Monies raised through this fund go to purchase bullet and stab resistant vests for police K9s in Crow Wing County.
Currently, monies are being raised to offset the cost of a $3,000 vest for Brainerd Police K9 Officer Keno and his handler Officer Tony Runde.
The two-hour social costs $15 per person at the door and includes appetizers provided by Prairie Bay and an opportunity to meet both Keno and Runde, as well as learn more about the Vest Our Dogs Fund and the training that goes into preparing canines for duty.
For more information, email vestourdogs@gmail.com . Direct donations can also be made to the Vest Our Dogs Fund at any BlackRidge Bank location.
