Crosslake WinterFest on tap this weekend

Crosslake WinterFest activities will take place Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 5-7, including the 12th annual SoupFest where people can sample soup at many different locations throughout Crosslake and vote for their favorites.

Following is a complete schedule of events:

Thursday, Feb. 5

9 a.m.: Find the Lost Medallion. The first of three daily clues will be released. The person who finds the medallion will cash in on a prize package worth hundreds from local merchants.

4-6 p.m.: Healthy Happy Hour Social & Snacks at The Crossfire.

6 p.m.: $5 craft beer tasting with D&D Beverage Co. and appetizers at Maucieri's Italian Bistro.

Friday, Feb. 6

3:30-5:30 p.m.: Cabin Fever Carnival at Crosslake Community School, featuring kids' games, bake walk, food and Bobber, the Water Safety Dog.

6 p.m.: Meat raffle and bake sale at the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion Post #500.

7 p.m.: Music featuring Mr. Mellow D at Andy's Bar & Grill, Wine & Spirits.

7-9 p.m.: Celebrate WinterFest at the Crosslake Community Center, featuring pond skating with cider and cocoa at the warming house, snow mountain, music by DJ JP, bonfire and s'mores, Crosslake Fire Department fire truck display, horse-drawn sleigh rides and - new this year - a scavenger hunt.

9 p.m.: Fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks.

8 p.m.: Music featuring DJ Trina at The Wharf.

9 p.m.: Live music featuring Andy Fischer at The Bourbon Room.

9 p.m.: DJ/Karaoke Lumberjack Party with Hammerschlagen at Zorbaz on Cross Lake. First drink is free if dressed as a lumberjack.

10 p.m.: Music featuring DJ's JP and Chad at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant and Bar.

Saturday, Feb. 7

8-11:30 a.m.: Crosslake firefighters pancake breakfast at Crosslake Lutheran Church.

8 a.m.-noon: Stonehouse coffee tasting at Lake Country Crafts & Cones.

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Vendor boutique at The Crossfire.

11 a.m.-dusk: Helicopter rides, weather permitting, at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

Noon: 12th annual SoupFest tasting begins at the following locations: Andy's Bar & Grill, Bourbon Room, Cedar Chest, Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion Post #500, Crosslake Insurance Agency, Crosslake Veterinary Practice, Home Interior Supply, JAG Interior Solutions LLC, Judy's House of Gifts, Lake Country Crafts and Cones, Lakes Area Gallery and Frame Shoppe, Manhattan's (2014 culinary winner), Maucieri's Italian Bistro, Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar, Moonlite Square, Nordic Haus, North Country Lawn Care, Riverside, The Crossfire, The Wharf, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers/Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association (2014 amateur winner) and Zorbaz on Cross Lake.

Noon: Bocce ball tournament at Riverside Inn.

Noon: Ice car racing on Big Pine Lake, weather permitting, at the Cedar Chest.

Noon: Tiki Bar & Beach Bonfire and Bingo beginning at 1 p.m. at Manhattan's.

Noon-2 p.m.: Kids' games at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

Noon-3 p.m.: Family fun with bonfire, s'mores, coloring contest and make a T-shirt at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campground.

1 p.m.: Italian Outdoor Olympics at Maucieri's Italian Bistro.

1 p.m.: Bingo and bake sale at Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion Post #500.

1-4 p.m.: Radar Runs on the Bay at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

4-8 p.m.: Live music featuring Drunk & Stupid at Manhattan's.

5 p.m.: $5 wine tasting and appetizers and live music featuring Brendan Flynn at Maucieri's Italian Bistro.

8 p.m.: Music featuring DJ Trina at The Wharf.

8 p.m.: Karaoke at Andy's Bar & Grill.

9 p.m.: Live music featuring Seth Doud at The Bourbon Room.

10 p.m.: Music featuring DJ's JP and Chad at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant and Bar.
