The Crosslake Community School Board has an opening for one community representative. The two-year term starts Jan. 1, 2017.
Following is a timeline for the election process:
Aug. 29: Formal call for nominations to the board.
Sept. 19: Final reminder to families regarding nominations to the board.
Oct. 10: Nomination window closes.

Oct. 11: Ballots sent to families with candidate biographies.
Oct. 25 and 27: Voting to take place during parent conferences.
Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest and a short biography to the school by Oct. 10 to be eligible for placement on the ballot. Candidates may want to consider including a statement indicating their interest in the board along with hopes, dreams and goals for the school.
There is a required training component for all new board members as required by statute. More information is available regarding that component.
