In a special meeting held Tuesday, March 17, the Crosslake City Council approved a number of city improvement items, according to minutes of the meeting.

The council awarded R.L. Larson Excavating, Inc. the bid for the Daggett Bay sanitary sewer extension for $255,402.35. It then awarded Dechantal Excavating, LLC the bid for Crosslake water quality improvements for $414,965.80.

The council then approved a resolution approving plans and specifications and ordering the advertisement for bids for an improvement project on Wild Wind Ranch Drive Road.

It then agreed to reallocate a total of $110,000 of the existing public works budget to increase the budget for crack sealing. City Administrator Mike Lyonais indicated that this is done so the city can “keep up” with its current road plan. Council members asked if road projects were still ongoing, given the situation surrounding COVID-19, and if waiting a year would be an issue. Lyonais said the projects are still ongoing and waiting would result in further deterioration of the roads.

Council member Dave Schrupp attended the meeting via conference call, as did city engineer Dave Reese and city attorney Brad Person.
