The Crosslake Community School Board has an opening for a parent board member with the term starting May 12 and ending Dec. 31.

The position is up for election in the fall, and this parent may run for the office at that time. Board members must:

  • Have one or more years of experience with Crosslake Community School.
  • Attend one meeting per month.
  • Agree to serve on at least one board committee.

Board members can expect to spend at least 1-2 hours per month prepping for meetings, spend at least 2-3 hours at the monthly board meeting and be available for special board meetings.
Anyone interested, or for more information, contact board chair Lori Scharenbroich at lscharenbroich@crosslakekids.org. Interested candidates should write a letter of intent describing why they are interested in the position and what characteristics they’d bring to the board.

Travis Grimler began work at the Echo Journal Jan. 2 of 2013 while the publication was still split in two as the Pine River Journal and Lake Country Echo. He is a full time reporter/photographer/videographer for the paper and operates primarily out of the northern stretch of the coverage area (Hackensack to Jenkins).
