The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the University of Minnesota Extension are looking for 30 citizens to participate in the 2014-15 Fostering Citizen Leadership Program.
This free workshop series is for new citizen leaders who are interested in taking on more responsibility or who are new to water quality work and watershed (area of land that drains into a specific water body) involvement.
Participants must live in the Crow Wing, Leech, Long Prairie, Pine River or Redeye watersheds (located within parts of Crow Wing, Cass, Hubbard, Wadena and Todd counties).
The workshop series includes three in-person Saturday workshops (Sept. 6, Nov. 1, and May 2, 2015) and two winter online webinars. Participants are expected to participate in all five sessions.
