Lakes area voters will have the opportunity to hear directly from local candidates by attending a series of forums over the next month, courtesy of area chambers of commerce, the League of Women Voters and the Brainerd Dispatch.

Chamber partners include those representing the Brainerd Lakes, Crosslake, Cuyuna Lakes, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes areas. The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation also helped to fund online broadcasting.

All events are free to attend and open to the public. Organizers will follow all safety rules related to face coverings, room capacity and social distancing. Audiences may submit written questions to the candidates.

People may choose to attend the events or view them live on Facebook. To manage attendance, RSVPs are requested for certain forums. For more information, visit www.brainerdlakeschamber.com/vote or call Colleen Dols at the Brainerd Lakes Chamber at 218-822-7107.
