A 3-year-old boy found unresponsive near the shoreline of Pelican Lake at Breezy Point Resort on Friday night, July 18, is in critical condition, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office.
Emergency services and area law enforcement responded to a report of the missing boy near the Breezy Point Resort Boathouse and Marina at 7:32 p.m. July 18. Within minutes of the call, family members located the child unresponsive in the water near the shoreline.
CPR was performed on the child, who was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis by North Aircare.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. At this time, it is unknown how the child ended up in the water. Foul play is not suspected.
The child’s name and further information is being withheld pending the investigation.

The Breezy Point Police Department responded to the incident and was assisted by the Crosslake Police Department, North Ambulance and Zone 3 first responders.
