Bluegrass ensemble Hans Blix and the Weapons Inspectors will play a benefit concert for Nisswa Lake Park from 3-5 p.m. Monday, July 3, at the Nisswa Pocket Park in downtown Nisswa.
Hans Blix and the Weapons Inspectors is an acoustic string band that plays an eclectic mix of music ranging from bluegrass to old-time to folk to Irish fiddle tunes.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of Nisswa Lake Park, a local fundraising group working to raise funds for the park.
Hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations, along with Legacy Grant funding, made the purchase of land for the lakeside park possible.
The next phase, as envisioned by the community, is continuing to evolve a unique, natural lakeside park experience that will provide recreational opportunities for all ages. Contributions at the benefit concert are welcome, and a matching funds donor is needed.
