Kyle Bergem, business teacher at Pine River-Backus High School, was honored with a 2014 Teacher of Excellence Award for usage of BestPrep's programs to educate Minnesota students about business, career and financial literacy skills.

Bergem has worked with BestPrep, an education-based nonprofit, to enhance the education of his students through the eMentor program and using ClassroomPlus to schedule workplace tours.

"BestPrep has connected our students with several companies and as a result, they are exposed to career paths and learn about a wide variety of career opportunities that exist within organizations," Bergem said.

Bergem received his Teacher of Excellence Award at BestPrep's 38th annual luncheon May 22 at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest.
