The Backus Lions will be selling Colorado peaches beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 in the 371 Liquor Locker parking lot. The Liquor Locker is located just north of Backus on the west side of State Highway 371.
The cost is $25 per case, with each case containing approximately 35 to 40 peaches. Profits from peach sales help the Lions fund many activities in the area, including high school scholarships, Boy Scouts, service dog organizations and food shelves.
No advance orders will be accepted; sales are on a first-come-first-served basis.
