A fish fry benefit for the Backus Fire Department and First Responders will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Backus American Legion.
The dinner includes deep fried or baked fish, augratin potatoes, cole slaw and a dinner roll for $9. The dinner will go until food is gone.
A seven-round meat raffle with three packages awarded per round will also be held. Tickets are $1.
Backus firefighters and first responders will provide a free blood pressure check at the event.
