A 56-year-old Backus resident was arrested Monday, April 26, as part of a drug investigation, according to a Cass County Sheriff's Office news release.
Sheriff Tom Burch reported that on Monday, April 26, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, investigators and deputies conducted a search warrant at a residence in Backus related to the sale and use of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine.
A search of the residence was conducted, and approximately 62 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located and seized along with other drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency. The person was arrested at the residence. The investigation is ongoing and formal charges are pending.
