Back to Hack events will take place Friday-Sunday, Jan. 23-25, in Hackensack. Following is a schedule of events:

Friday, Jan. 23

• Snow sculpting begins, weather permitting.

• 10 a.m.: Medallion Hunt (second clue).

• 8 p.m.: Penguin Party and Beer Tasting featuring a DJ, Birchwood Char House & Bar.

Saturday, Jan. 24

• 8-8:45 a.m.: Frostbite ur Fanny Fun Run/Walk registration, $20, Hackensack Visitor's Center. Pre-registration is available; the first 50 people to register will receive a Frostbite ur Fanny cap.

• 8:50 a.m.: Fun Run/Walk briefing.

• 9 a.m.: Fun Run/Walk starts and finishes at Lucette statue.

• 10 a.m.: Medallion Hunt (final clue).

• 11 a.m.: Treasure Hunt. Maps available at Visitor's Center. Pick up prizes by 3 p.m. at Birchwood Char House & Bar.

• Noon: Silent auction begins at American Legion.

• Noon-3 p.m.: Paul Bunyan Ice Fishing Contest, Birch Lake. Cost is $10 per person. Prizes include $150 Swanson Bait gift certificate for the biggest fish an adult catches; $100 Swanson Bait gift certificate for the biggest fish a youth catches; and prizes for the first 25 fish caught.

• Noon: Chili Feed at the Hackensack Legion.

• Noon: Register for PAMDA Penguin Plunge, Hackensack Visitor's Center.

• 1 p.m.: PAMDA Penguin Plunge, Birch Lake.

• 3 p.m.: Snow sculpting ends and judging begins.

• 5:30 p.m.: Community bonfire with free hot dogs.

• 6 p.m.: Fabulous fireworks, Birch Lake.

• After fireworks: Horse racing at the Legion, including silent auction, raffles drawn and sleigh of spirits winner announced.

• Live band Mesh follows horse racing at the Legion.

Sunday, Jan. 25

• 1:30 p.m.: Bingo. Sunday Funday at Birchwood Char House & Bar to support Hackensack Fire Department, featuring $5 burgers baskets and $10 buckets during bingo.
