PINE RIVER — Three people were injured, including a woman who was airlifted to a Robbinsdale hospital, Monday, Jan. 11, after two vehicles crashed on Highway 371, north of Pine River.
The crash was reported at 6:54 a.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Daniel A. Kneisl, 28, Verndale, was driving a Dodge Ram north on Highway 371 and Adrian V. Praught, 85, Ironton, was driving a Buick Rendezvous south on the highway. Kneisl was making a left turn across Highway 371 when his truck struck the Buick, causing the vehicles to come to a rest in the northbound lane area.
Kneisl was transported to St. Cloud Hospital and Praught was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, both for non-life-threatening injuries. Praught’s passenger, Romona M. Praught, 85, Ironton, was airlifted by Life Link III to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department, Backus Fire Department and First Responders assisted the state patrol at the scene.
