Both drivers and a 21-year-old passenger were injured when two vehicles collided at 7:14 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in Cass County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported while a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling south on Highway 371, a 2017 Nissan Sentra entered the southbound lane from 144th Street Northwest in Wilkinson Township and collided with the Traverse.

Damian J. Reiten, 52, the driver of the Traverse, and his passenger Samuel J. Reiten, 21, both of Blaine, along with the driver of the Sentra -- Grace E. Byington, 21, Cass Lake -- all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford Health in Cass Lake.

The state patrol reported the road conditions were wet.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Leech Lake Tribal Police and the Cass Lake Ambulance assisted the state patrol at the scene.
