22-year-old falls out of moving vehicle, suffers head injury
MERRIFIELD—A 22-year-old Motley man was injured Saturday, April 13, after he fell out of the window of a moving vehicle on Rebel Road and Settler Trail in Merrifield.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported Elsa M. Headlee, 20, Pequot Lakes, was driving a vehicle east on Settler Road, when her passenger—Tyler E. Holub—rolled his window down and sat on the window of the passenger door. The Motley man then fell backwards out of the window striking the pavement with his head, the sheriff's office reported. Holub was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale to be treated for his injuries. Holub was in critical condition Thursday.
Headlee was not injured.
The incident was reported at 1:50 a.m.
