East Gull Lake motorcyclist dies in Pequot Lakes crash: Names not released
A 48-year-old East Gull Lake motorcyclist died Friday afternoon, Sept. 7, in a collision on County Road 11 in Pequot Lakes, Pequot Lakes Police Chief Eric Klang reported in a news release.
At approximately 3:44 p.m., a Pequot Lakes police officer on patrol located a crash on the 5600 block of County Road 11, the news release said. A 2015 Chevy Silverado, driven by a 69-year-old man from Pine River, was eastbound and turned left in front of the oncoming 2018 Ducati motorcycle, the news release said.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release names of those involved.
Responding agencies included Breezy Point Police Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Zone 3 First Responders, Drone Team and North Memorial Ambulance Service.
The Pequot Lakes Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol.
