AAUW Northland Get Together is Sept. 13

AAUW branch members from Duluth, Ely, Grand Rapids, Hibbing and Virginia will join AAUW Brainerd Lakes Area branch members on Saturday, Sept. 13, for a Northland Get Together from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.

AAUW branch members from Duluth, Ely, Grand Rapids, Hibbing and Virginia will join AAUW Brainerd Lakes Area branch members on Saturday, Sept. 13, for a Northland Get Together from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.

The event will focus on AAUW's mission of advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.

Eleanor Burkett and Jackie Froemming, Minnesota Extension Educators with extensive backgrounds in the sciences, will speak on "Wild for Monarchs" and "Gardening Lessons I Learned the Hard Way."

Burkett will also lead a walk through the wild flower gardens of the arboretum.
