The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer 55+ Driver Discount Courses in April.
Four-hour refresher courses will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Crosslake Community Center and from 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Pequot Lakes High School.
An eight-hour first-time course will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church.
Courses are also available online at www.mnsafetycenter.org.
This class will save participants up to 10 percent on their auto insurance. Completion of an eight-hour course qualifies participants for the discount. To maintain the discount, they must complete a four-hour refresher every three years.
A Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor will update participants on defensive driving tips, changes in laws, vehicle technology and traffic safety.
