The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District recently announced the winners of its sixth annual photography contest.

Photographers of all ages and abilities were invited to submit their photos for the 2018 Native Plant and Tree Photo Contest.

John Bonde placed first in the contest with his photo of a lowbush blueberry. He will receive a 20- by 16-inch canvas of his photo. Deanie Nelson came in second for a photo of butterfly weed and will receive an 8- by 10-inch canvas of the picture. Jennifer Quam took third place with her photograph of willow, and she will receive notecards with her photo on them.

All the contest entries can be found on the district's Facebook page, website and potentially other educational or promotional items for the district. The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District featured the 2017 photo contest winners in the district's 2017 county plat books.
