Women's health topic of Heart and Soul 2018
Heart and Soul 2018 will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 6:30—9 p.m. at the Crosslake Lutheran Church. Featured speaker for this women only event will be cardiologist Eric Fenstad, MD, MSc, FACC. He will present, "Things that go Bump in the Night," a presentation on Heart Rhythms in Women.
Dr. Fenstad is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He completed his residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. In 2015, Dr. Fenstad joined Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI) at Abbott Northwestern Hospital which is part of Allina Health. He sees patients in Baxter, Crosby, and Aitkin. The other speaker for the evening will be Gail Smith, RN, BSN, CCRN who will be speaking about, "Make the Hurt Go Away" Mind, Body, and Spirit Pain in Women — diagnosis and treatment.
Gail works as the Parish Nurse at Crosslake Lutheran and also holds positions as a nurse at MHI and Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. The evening is free and open to all area women with doors opening at 6pm. Come and spend the evening learning, laughing, and being with women as we improve our mind, body, and spirit health.
