Learn about participation in Pine River Market Square

Calling all gardeners, farmers, bakers, canners, maple syrup-ers, honey gatherers, crafters—an informational meeting will be 6 p.m. April 24 to learn about the 2018 Pine River Market Square, a local farmers and crafters market.

PINE RIVER—Calling all gardeners, farmers, bakers, canners, maple syrup-ers, honey gatherers, crafters—an informational meeting will be 6 p.m. April 24 to learn about the 2018 Pine River Market Square, a local farmers and crafters market.

The meeting will be at Garden Circles located at the Hunt Utilities Group Campus, west of Highway 371 on County Road 2. Refreshments will be served. This session is for anyone planning on participating, or considering participating, in the market this season.

It's a time to meet other vendors and learn about market guidelines, options for participation, marketing techniques for products and resources for learning more about the Minnesota Department of Agriculture requirements. Attendance bonuses for new and return vendors include a chance to win 50 percent off the seasonal vendor fee.

Guidelines and vendor applications are available online at www.prmarketsquare.wordpress.com. The guidelines outline the process and expectations. The market, located downtown Pine River, three blocks east of Highway 371, will run 2:30-5:30 p.m. every Friday, starting May 25 through Sept. 28. The season will also include three Saturday indoor markets 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8 at the Warehouse in Pine River.
