Earth Day farmers market slated in Ideal
An Earth Day indoor farmers and crafters market is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Ideal Town Hall, hosted by the Ideal Green Market Co-op.
Vendors, Earth Day kids' activities, live music, a "counting" horse and gardener tips information table will all be available for fun, purchasing and learning. Lunch will be available for $6 featuring the use of local ingredients and will include a vegetarian option.
Products included to date are: heritage pork, microgreens, hydroponic greens, baked goods, preserves, breads made with local ingredients (30-mile radius from baking location), mushroom logs and kits, milled flours, honey, sunflower oils, handmade cutting boards, goat milk soaps and lotions, beeswax candles, herbal personal care products and more.
Vendors who grow and/or make their own goods are welcome to participate and can visit the website, www.idealgreenmarket.com, for information and a registration form. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In the meantime, the co-op is open to all shoppers Wednesdays-Saturdays and offers a wide array of local goods, organic goods and fresh produce.
