TRIAD meeting set Sept. 19 in Hackensack, Walleye fry Sept. 16
The September TRIAD meeting will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Hackensack Hub.
This will be a potluck meeting; bring a favorite dish to share. Learn about to-go bags and emergency kits, including why people should have one of each and what they should include in them. Free heavy-duty to-go bags will be available for the first 50 participants.
The fourth annual Cass County Sheriff's Office Chaplaincy and TRIAD walleye fry will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Union Congregational Church in Hackensack. The meal will include walleye, wild rice hot dish, fry bread, Caesar salad, three bean salad and homemade desserts with coffee or lemonade.
Admission will be $15 for adults, $5 for children under 10 and free for children under 5.
There will also be information on TRIAD, chaplaincy, emergency management, and search and rescue.
TRIAD is senior citizens, law enforcement and community groups working together to enhance senior safety. Every meeting includes a law enforcement report, which focuses on current frauds and scams and safety information. Everyone is welcome.
