Cuyuna Regional Medical Center will offer a community cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) class for those interested in learning how to save a life from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Heartwood Senior Living Community in Crosby.

The course teaches the critical skills of high-quality CPR, to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the American Heart Association's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Community CPR is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others who want to learn to CPR. The fee is $75 and includes a student manual.
