Visit Prague, France through Pequot Lakes Community Education

Pequot Lakes Community Education offers online travel tour opportunities.

Preregistration is required for all community education classes. Call 218-568-9200 or register online at www.isd186.org and click on “community education.”

  • Online Travel Tour Around Beautiful Prague: This week-long virtual tour of Prague includes livestream virtual events at 10 a.m. Sundays, June 20 and 27. Cost is $55 for the online experience.

Tour guides are Prague residents. Participants will explore neighborhoods and learn about local culture, traditions, history, food and drink, architecture styles, crafts, music and more.
Each hour-long virtual tour will be recorded and can be watched any time. Each day of the week, participants will receive information in the form of video, photo and/or written content.

Participants are encouraged to participate in an optional walking/fitness challenge with the tour guides. Walk the same distance as they are traveling. Any activity can count as mileage - walking, running, yoga, cleaning the house, grocery shopping, etc. Set a pace and keep track with a Fitbit or other device.

  • Online Travel Tour Experience France: This three-week virtual online tour to South France includes an hourlong livestream event at 11 a.m. Saturday, 26. Cost is $99 for the online experience.

Experience the baby Alps, the Massif Central and the Pyrenees by traveling virtually along the Mediterranean Sea. Experience sunshine, vineyards, mountains, olive groves, markets and ancient ruins.
Throughout the three-week tour, receive information through live, pre-recorded and written events each day. All livestreams will be recorded to be viewed at any time.

Tour guide Patrick Vidal will be on location in France to help participants experience history, culture, food and both mountain and seaside scapes.

Participants are encouraged to be active and join by walking the same distance Vidal does on the tour. The actual mileage is approximately 40 miles per week. Walking, running, yoga, cleaning the house, grocery shopping, etc. are all activities that add up mileage. Keep track with a Fitbit or other device.
