Mom’s Morning Out is a weekly support group from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd that gives moms of infants a time to join other moms to learn about changes in newborns, ask questions and meet other new moms in the community.

Weekly discussions include topics such as:

  • Home safety.
  • Tips on sleeping.
  • Feeding.
  • Preventing illness.
  • Games to play with your baby.
  • Baby development stages.
  • Infant massage.
  • The realness of having an infant.

Moms will also have an opportunity to check their baby’s weight in between appointments.

A Mom’s Morning Out Halloween Event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 30, for an opportunity to dress infants in costume. The event includes a Halloween parade through the hospital and a chance to get connected with other moms and feel supported.

The event will be in the hospital's lower level meeting rooms through the cafeteria. There is no fee to attend and registration is not required.
