Crow Wing Energized is hosting a Make It OK Ambassador training to prepare others in the community to present the Make It OK presentation.
The session is free, and will train and empower people in the community to give mental illness stigma-reduction presentations. "Make It OK" is a campaign to reduce the stigma of mental illness by talking about what can be done to change misconceptions about mental illnesses.
The campaign is designed to encourage people to talk more openly about mental illnesses and ask for help.
The training will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 25 at the Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center, Thabes Meeting Room, 523 N. Third St., Brainerd. To register for the free workshop, visit www.crowwingenergized.org/events.
