Pine River United Methodist Church will host a four-month senior series entitled, "Old Age Is Not For Sissies," featuring speakers to help participants navigate the aging process.
Meetings will run from 1-3 p.m. once a month in the church dining room at 348 Barclay Ave. "Staying Independent," slated Tuesday, Feb. 19, will feature a panel including Faith in Action, Cass County Social Services and Home Instead Senior Care.
"Need Some Help?," slated Tuesday, March 19, will help participants choose assisted living and nursing home options.
"More Changes" on Tuesday, April 16, will cover the topic of hospice care and final gifts.
The final gathering, "Let's Fight Back," on Tuesday, May 21, will focus on staying active.
There is no charge to attend any of the courses. Interested participants may attend any number of the sessions that they wish.
