'Flying Solo' class offered at Crosslake Lutheran Church

Crosslake Lutheran Church will offer a community class from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 21, entitled "Flying Solo."

The class will look at the recovery process after loss and building a strong support system to enhance recovery. The class is for those who are through the acute grief phase and are now looking for ways to create a new chapter in their lives based on values, needs and resources.

The group also looks at ways to connect with others to build relationships as a single person.

Gail Smith, registered nurse and parish nurse at Crosslake Lutheran, will lead the discussion and has many years of experience in recovery from loss groups, including beginning experience in Fargo and as a Befriender ministry leader.

The class is open to all in the community and is free. Call the church at 218-692-3682 before Nov. 18 to reserve a space or for more information.
