The Brainerd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Relief Society Organization recently donated needed items to the Mid-Minnesota Women's Center in Brainerd as a service project for the Alex & Brandon Child Safety Center.

The Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is one of the largest women’s organizations in the world. The relief society is for women ages 18 and over whose purpose is to provide support for the temporal and spiritual needs of all women in the church, as well as others who are in need.

The Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center, Inc. has been providing victim advocacy services since 1978. Those services have remained, even during a worldwide health emergency, as an essential safety net for survivors of crime who continue to be the paramount focus of the organization.

The women's center provides a 24-hour intake to emergency shelter for individuals experiencing domestic violence, including women, along with their children and pets, and men. In addition to physical safety, the shelter provides personal advocacy, information and referral, support groups and community education.

There is a constant need for funds, items and volunteers. Mid-Minnesota Women's Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
