The Bemidji State University trombone quartet, which includes local high school graduates, will perform Easter Sunday, April 1, at Crosslake Christian Assembly of God Church. There will be a prelude at 10:30 a.m., followed by music during the 10:45 a.m. Easter service.

Members of the quartet include Mike Newton and Levi Espeseth, both graduates of Pequot Lakes High School. Newton is a senior at BSU and is the recipient of the Carl O. Thompson instrumental scholarship. Espeseth is a junior at BSU.

Sophomore Tim Roehrich is a graduate of Brainerd High School, and sophomore Noah Harstad is a graduate of Fertile-Beltrami High School.

Espeseth, Roehrich and Harstad played with the Heartland Symphony, and the group played at the Staples Low Brass Summit

On Sunday, the quartet will play a variety of sacred selections.

Other events on Easter morning include a breakfast at 9:45 a.m. and Easter egg hunt for children at 10 a.m. Pastor Gary Espeseth will share an Easter message at 10:45 a.m., and a dinner will follow.
