Verse Like Water, the visiting poetry program of Central Lakes College in Brainerd, will present Chinese-American poet Jenny Xie at noon Friday, Oct. 29, in the Chalberg Theatre, Brainerd campus.
The event is free and open to the public.
Xie is a professor at Bard College, and her book “Eye Level” earned the Walt Whitman Award. This literary event will be followed by a book signing and a craft talk.
High school students who attend the event will receive a free copy of “Eye Level” thanks to Verse Like Water's friendship with Graywolf Press in Minneapolis.
