A good-natured singing competition between members of the Staples Area Men's Chorus will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, to raise funds for the annual Real Men Sing event.
The Sing Off dinner concert will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. followed by the dinner concert/competition beginning at 6 p.m. at the Town's Edge Event Center in Staples.
The chorus has been divided into three teams: The Salty Dogs, Just Gorgeous Men and Pitch Please. They will take turns singing their concert selections with the audience members able to vote for their favorite group after each round with monetary donations.
After each round of competition and donations, the groups will continue until an elimination round. Eventually, one group will win The Sing Off based on which group raises the most donations throughout the concert.
All profits from the evening will be used to help support the Real Men Sing event held each fall.

Dinner concert tickets are $25 and are presale only with sales ending Feb. 21. Tickets can be purchased at www.staplesmen.org/samc/, or in person at Nelson Insurance Agency (218-895-5046) or at the Stomping Grounds Coffee House (218-895-5750), both in Staples.

The Staples Area Men's Chorus hosts the Real Men Sing festival for free for students and schools. Real Men Sing is an educational outreach program designed to encourage young men to continue singing throughout their lives.
