Kevin Schwendinger, who is solo bicycling from Bemidji to Dubuque, Iowa, will give a free presentation at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Pequot Lakes Library about his trek through the "Driftless Area."
Fall Booya
Faith in Action for Cass County will sponsor a Fall Booya fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Union Church in Hackensack.
Everyone is welcome and free-will donations will be accepted.

Outdoor movie
A free, family-friendly outdoor movie will be shown at dusk Friday, Sept. 23, at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Crosslake Recreation Area. The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Donations are appreciated to benefit Light Up the Dam, a project to enhance the Christmas lighting at the dam and surrounding property.

Cider and Candlelight Tour
The Crosslake Historic Log Village will be the site of the annual Cider and Candlelight Tour from 7-9 p.m Saturday, Sept. 24. The event is free, but donations will be accepted.
Experience the 1900 village by night, lit by lanterns and candle.
Friends of the Poor Walk

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) will sponsor the Friends of the Poor Walk on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Church Street Challenge, a 1.5-mile walk, will begin at 9 a.m. in the St. Christopher's Church parking lot in Nisswa, ending in the same location.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds and donations from the event will directly benefit the people in the local communities SVdP serves.
