Taste of the Holidays

Schaefer's Foods of Nisswa will host its annual Taste of the Holidays from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, where visitors will sample food and beverage items from every grocery department for a minimum donation of $5 per person. All donations will go to the Lakes Area Food Shelf.

Taste of Spirits Holiday Cheer

Taste of Spirits Holiday Cheer will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Spirits of Nisswa, featuring more than 40 items to sample and prizes.

Grassroots Concert

Sally Barris will perform a Grassroots Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the Live Well Night Club and Coffee Bar at the Journey Church in Nisswa. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 with listening attention when accompanied by an adult. Non-perishable food and cash donations for the food shelf are welcomed.

Christmas for Vets

The Christmas for Vets organization will place wreaths on the graves of about 300 veterans in five area cemeteries at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Volunteers to help place wreaths at the city of Pequot Lakes, Our Savior's Lutheran, Kedron, Jenkins and Stony Brook cemeteries should meet in the parking lot behind Our Savior's.

Historic Film Screening

Heritage Group North invites the community to the Pine River Depot to view excerpts from the John M. Rohr Film Collection shot locally from the 1940s-1960s at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Pine River Depot. Fee is a $5 suggested donation.
