Pequot Lakes Community Theatre will present the musical fantasy "Seussical" at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 9-10 and 16-17, and at 2 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 11 and 18, in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium.

With Stephanie White as stage manager and choreographer, Lauren Nickisch providing vocal direction, Lisa Sater providing musical direction and sets designed by Tim Leagjeld, director Ben Gordon offers a colorful confection of wit, wisdom, warmth and whimsy.

Join in the fun as the mischievous Cat in the Hat (Kate Davis, Pequot Lakes) whisks young "Thinker" JoJo (Sarah Maroney, Ironton) away to the unmistakable world of Dr. Seuss populated by such characters as Horton the Elephant (Travis Chaput, Brainerd), Gertrude McFuzz (Nicole Rothleutner, Pequot Lakes), Mr. and Mrs. Mayor (Josiah Sechser, Pine River; Teagan Johnson, Pequot Lakes), Mayzie LaBird (Brianna Engels, Pequot Lakes), the Sour Kangaroo (Laura Leckband, Emily), the unpredictable Wickersham Brothers (Eddie Binda, Merrifield; Phyl Bell, Brainerd; Luke Munson, Pequot Lakes), the musical Bird Girls (Emma Stokman, Crosby; Jana Johnson, Pequot Lakes; Ashley Mixer, Nisswa), crazed General Genghis Khan Schmitz (Kale Jones, Emily), Things 1 and 2 (Zoe and Odessa Huber, Breezy Point) and, of course, the infamous Grinch (Nikoa Perkins, Backus).

From the tiny town of Whoville (featuring Lauren Bluhm, Nisswa; Arya Compton, Pine River; Jayce Compton, Pine River; Nicholas Foster, Pequot Lakes; Corissa Kerger, Pequot Lakes; Tabitha Kibwaa, Jenkins; Ashley Slaybaugh, Nisswa; and Emma Spiczka, Pequot Lakes) to the wild Jungle of Nool (featuring Kelsi Compton, Pine River; Cordelia LaFlex, Brainerd; Mollie Pierson, Pequot Lakes; Kali Tappe, Crosslake; Ronnie Villa, Pequot Lakes; and Mariah Whitledge, Breezy Point) and filled with toe tapping numbers, excitement, and that unmistakable Seussian wit, "Seussical" is a fun time for the whole family.

Reserved seat tickets may be purchased online at www.glapa.org or by calling Pequot Lakes Community Education at 218-568-9200. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors age 60 and older and $10 for youths.
