Hi, everyone - I’m back and wishing all a peace-filled holiday season.
It’s been a while since I’ve corresponded, mostly because though we’re open, there hasn’t been a lot of new things going on at the library.
Just want you to know that we are here and we’ve been getting new books all along, so be sure you visit us and see if we can’t help you find your favorite books or authors.
Masks are necessary, but we can also do checking out curbside. Just refer to our catalog and email or call us with the books you’d like to check out. We’ll get them ready and give you a call so you can pick them up at the library - easy as can be.
2020 tax help

Tax representatives will be at the library on Thursday afternoons starting sometime in February to assist with taxes. The library will not have information available until mid-January, so please check then, not earlier.
Do not call before you hear more in my column in January. Thank you.
Notes about this and that
- We truly appreciate our patrons and volunteers.
- The library features artists from around the area. The displays change every two months or seasonally. Continuing through December see the rotating exhibit of “COVID masks and their construction,” by our volunteer Maren Kimbler.
We are expecting water-color artist Gayle Burgoyne to show paintings January through March.
- On our display table we are focusing on titles and ideas on oral history-taking and ancestry information gathering.
Dates to note
- Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, 10:30 a.m.: First Thursday Book Club meeting at the library. We meet indoors and will be discussing “Norwegian by Night,” by Derek Miller. February’s book will be “Blood and Thunder,” by Hampton Sides.
The book club is open to anyone interested. There’s no need to call ahead.
