The final concerts of the Lakes Area Music Festival will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd.
Conductor Andrew Altenbach will give a pre-concert lecture a half-hour before each performance, and audience members are invited to an "After Glow" gathering to meet musicians after Saturday's concert at Prairie Bay restaurant in Baxter.
The concerts are free, but donations to help support the festival are welcome.
Percussionist Kevin Watkins, who is featured in "Bolero," will lead a discussion prior to a rehearsal that is open to the public at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, also at Tornstrom Auditorium.
The Lakes Area Music Festival is an annual summer series attracting some of the country's leading orchestral and vocal performers. About 140 musicians and vocalists were in the Brainerd lakes area as guest artists.
