Great River Strings to practice on Tuesdays

Classical music once again comes to the lakes area as Great River Strings announces its fall practice schedule and concerts.

Practices will be Tuesday evenings at Crosby-Ironton High School, with Ripple River Strings starting at 5:45 p.m. and Great River Strings starting at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 29; Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27; and Nov. 3, 10 and 17.

Fall concerts will be based on music from the Reformation period, 1521-1685. Performances will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Crosby-Ironton High School, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Aitkin High School.
