Pequot Lakes Community Theatre will host auditions for “Superhero Support Group” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, and Sunday, Aug. 8, in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium.
Rehearsals will begin in late August with performances scheduled Fridays-Sundays, Oct. 15-17 and 22-24. Stephanie White will direct the show.
“Superhero Support Group” is a comedy stage play script in one act about superheroes who decide they want to give up their powers, with the help of a mysterious doctor. D. M. Larson wrote the play for seven actors and they are:
Chat Chick: Female, any age. Sassy, determined and eager for change.
Doctor: Female, 25 and older. Professional, mysterious and emotionless.
Caper: Gender neutral, ages 8-15. Small, light and anxious.
Dog Boy: Male, age range 10-16. Young, excitable and loyal.
Shade: Gender neutral, any age. Quiet, intelligent and great at hiding.
Smack: Gender neutral, any age. Strong, aggressive and able to lift a small human being.
Speedo: Male, 16 or older. Fast, whiny and insecure.
Be prepared to move around and read scenes with other actors. Everyone is welcome.
