WORK SESSION
April 12, 2021
A work session of the Board of Education of Independent School District #186 was held in the MS/HS auditorium on April 12, 2021. Chair Kim Bolz-Andolshek called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. Clerk Tracy Wallin recorded the minutes.
Present: Directors Kim Bolz-Andolshek, Curt Johnson, Derrek Johnson, Susan Mathison-Young, Dena Moody, Amy Sjoblad, and Tracy Wallin, and Superintendent of Schools Chris Lindholm.
A discussion was held regarding inclusiveness and strategic planning. Superintendent Lindholm provided comments and insight into an inclusivity video that he narrated and was recently released, as well as the Region 5 project. Karen Rubado, SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) trainer, presented information and background on the SEED program. The board then shared feedback and questions from the community regarding the video and the SEED program.
The balance of the items on the agenda were not addressed at this meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
