Lakes Area Writers Alliance announces its 2021 annual conference, Book Writing Master Class: Become a Better Writer in One Day, Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.

This conference, emceed by Tami Lu Smith, will bring together acclaimed national and international best-selling authors to share their expertise and provide attendees with inspiration and encouragement to take the next step forward in fulfilling their writing dreams. Experienced authors will be on hand to assist in writing deeper and honing the craft of writing.

From 10 a.m. to noon there will be two sessions: Ignite your Story by Joe Prosit, and Create your World by Heidi Skarie.

The 1-3:30 p.m. sessions will be: Write Deeper with Candace Simar, Hone your Craft with a panel including Carissa Andrews, and Irresistible Openings by Barbara Schlichting.
